About me

My name is Miranda Campos, and I am a public relations major at the University of North Texas, with a minor in international studies. I aspire to build a career in the music industry. As a student in the Mayborn school of Journalism, I have developed my skills in media relations , communication, writing and news portfolio, while gaining hands-on experience both inside and outside the classroom.

Growing up in a military household shaped my career outlook early on. I was born on a military base and raised in a military household, and as the eldest of three, I was encouraged to pursue a path in the Air force after earning my Bachelors degree. However my career aspirations shifted during COVID when I developed an interest in Korean pop culture and music industry. Through social media , I discovered content created on TikTok who shared her experience on managing tours, working in the public relations field and her journey on how she built a career in live entertainment. Hearing her journey inspired me to pursue public relations and showed me a new path where i combine my passion of global culture, music industry and communication.

Beyond school, I have worked as concert staff for Hello82 and Studio PAV, worked as a tour agent for a K-pop firm, and taken on VIP assistant positions to support artists and tour operations, all of which have broadened my knowledge in entertainment and live events
